Hey guys, this is Arpeet here again with a new post on TechnoPrenure. In this post I am going to give a view to SaaS, PaaS and IaaS along with their definitions. So let’s begin with SaaS 🙂

Basic Working of Cloud computing

It’s working is like we can save any data or any files in an email account of any web host. Then from any device we can access to our saved files with the help of SaaS. That means we can get our data just by logging in into our  account in a software in a device. I hope it’s clear enough for everyone ( both techies and non-techies). So it’s the basic working background. But in nowadays competition is more so more functionalities are being added. But let’s not mess with that because my non- techie people will feel bad 😛

What is SaaS?

SaaS Stands for Software-as-a-Service .Its just a method of software delivery that allow us to access any software with the help of any device and an internet connection. It works on the principle of “Cloud Computing”. This is a significant departure from the on-premise software delivery model. It’s main advantage is that, firstly people have to invest in hardware’s, and their respective setups in order to host their services and etc. Now a days, SaaS its the outsource of all IT responsibilities typically required to troubleshoot and maintain the software. The SaaS vendor takes care of it all.. . Lastly let me give you the well known examples of SaaS – Google Apps, Salesforce, Workday, Concur, Citrix GoToMeeting, Cisco WebEx etc.  

What is IaaS?

IaaSStands for Infrastructure-as-a-Service. Also known as the foundation of cloud computing. Its a service model that delivers computer infrastructure on an outsourced basis in order to support business and enterprise. Also known as Hardware-as-a-Service ( HaaS ). Characteristics of IaaS include:
  • Automated administrative tasks
  • Dynamic scaling
  • Platform virtualization
  • Internet connectivity
IaaS Examples: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cisco Metapod, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine (GCE), Joyent  

What is PaaS?

PaaSStands for Platform-as-a-Service. It’s also a component of cloud computing. And what this is that it provides a platform or a environment for the developers to build softwares or applications and services. It makes the customization, development, testing, and deployment of applications quick, simple, and cost-effective. It can be delivered through public, private and hybrid clouds. So costumers basically pay to PaaS as per-use basis, whereas some charging a flat monthly fee. This is all about PaaS. Actually its all I know about PaaS. PaaS examples – AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Windows Azure, Heroku, Force.com, Google App Engine, Apache

Common Myths about SaaS, IaaS, PaaS (Cloud Computing):

1st Myth – Poor availability along with lack of customization – Many are not choosing SaaS because they think that it have low – up  time or less availability. Take a look at the numbers and you will observe that SaaS is becoming a becoming a mainstream movement. And so due to this myth people tend to believe that they would be poor customization functionalities. But dear have a look and try them. 2nd Myth – It’s secured – Haha, don’t think our technology have a good security at all. Most of the CEO’s think they have a good security but it doesn’t exists.The reality is that your typical SaaS vendor is quite attuned to security policies and has actually built security within their business. Well let me give you an simple example. Suppose you are depositing money to bank does it mean it is owned by Bank. You will be thinking what the heck am I talking but its the same case out here :D… May be a robber comes and robs all the money and your money is also there. Then, 😛 . Could you now form an relation 3rd Myth – SaaS is only for disasters – Again Haha, it doesn’t mean that if security is not proper we would always believe that it could be exploited. I am for it. But as to my notice, its a good management. But every thing has got pros and cons. Let me reveal each of them. To them, who think SaaS is only for disaster it’s absolutely a myth :). Now what’s reality if it’s not secured as well as good. It’s just solution to take help from hacker or bug bounty hunters to exploit flaws and debug them.

New: Europe Deals A Blow To CRISPR Technology, U.S. Approves ‘Bleeding’ Veggie Burger

As at Last week, there was a momentous one for the future of genetically engineered foods, both in the U.S. and in Europe. On July 24, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the Impossible Burger, an all-veggie burger that “bleeds” and sizzles just like meat. The burger’s star ingredient — a protein called heme that renders blood red and helps make meat a carnivore’s delight — was granted GRAS (generally recognized as safe) status. In 2015, the FDA had required that the $400 million Silicon Valley startup, Impossible Foods, demonstrate that their heme, made by genetically modified yeast, was safe. Two days later, across the pond, Europe’s highest court issued a very different decision: stating that in Europe, gene-edited crops should be subject to the same strict regulations the continent uses for genetically modified (GM) organisms. It was a major setback for advocates of genetically engineered crops. Therefore Predictable reactions followed. While Impossible Foods celebrated its approval, an environmental advocacy organization Friends of the Earth (FOE) called the FDA ruling tremendously disappointing. Dana Perls, senior food and agriculture campaigner for FOE, says the ruling “is exactly why we need an overhaul of our regulations with the USDA [U.S. Department of Agriculture] and the FDA.” Meanwhile, Nigel Halford, a crop geneticist at Rothamsted Research in Harpenden, UK, told Nature News that the European ruling was “a real hit to the head,” noting that companies in Europe will not be willing to invest in a technology with no commercial application. Gene editing can take many forms, in both medicine and agriculture. For Impossible Foods, the goal was to produce a lab-based vegetarian burger (it contains flecks of coconut fat, along with textured wheat and potato protein) that tasted and cooked just like meat, and help meet the global demand for beef without the carbon footprint. Company founder Patrick Brown, a biochemist at Stanford University, discovered that nodules on the roots of soy make small amounts of heme. He took the soybean gene that encodes the heme protein and inserted it in yeast. The modified yeast is able to produce huge quantities of the blood-like molecule, in vats of frothy red liquid. Each vat produces enough heme to make 20,000 quarter-pound burgers. But even though heme itself is a molecule found in all mammals, including in abundant quantities in our own bodies, the genetic editing of yeast as well as the soybean root source caused a fierce backlash. Perls worries the heme and other proteins in the food could be an allergen. However, these proteins are likely already in yeast we consume elsewhere, or in other products where yeast fermentation is used. Molecular biologist Layla Katiraee, one of six Science Moms, mothers who advocate for science-based decisions in regard to children’s nutrition and health, tried the Impossible Burger and interviewed one of the firm’s chief scientists. “I eat meat and love it, but last year our family made an effort to reduce our meat consumption. The Impossible Burger seemed like a really good option in terms of animal welfare and environmental sustainability.” Katiraee says she was “shocked at the ‘frankenfood’-type backlash.” Take the reaction of ETC Group, a nonprofit that looks at the socioeconomic and ecological issues surrounding new technologies. ETC was shrill in its condemnation of Impossible Burger last year: “The case of Impossible Burger raises concerns that surpass this one patty and implicates the extreme genetic engineering field of synthetic biology, particularly the new high-tech investor trend of “vat-itarian” foods (meat, dairy, and other animal proteins grown in a biotech vat instead of from an animal),” they wrote. Yet the food industry already uses modified yeast and other microbes to produce key ingredients. Since the 1980s, rennet, the enzyme that turns milk into cheese, has been produced by genetically engineered microbes. Traditionally, rennet had been extracted from the stomach lining of unweaned calves. And in the world of medicine, diabetics around the world inject genetically modified insulin daily. “I think these advocacy groups worry that if a product like Impossible Burger is very successful, acceptance of genetically engineered food will grow,” says Katiraee. “It has always baffled me that the backlash to genetic engineering is in food but not medicine,” wrote food and farm consultant Emanuel Farrow last week on a facebook group called Food and Farm Discussion Lab. “Genentech…[was] engineering medications already in the late 80s for market … Monsanto releases GE tomatoes in the early 90s and people lose their minds.” Meanwhile, the European decision to regulate gene-edited crops as genetically modified crops directly impacts the use of a gene editing technique known as CRISPR for plants. The technique is currently being investigated for its medical value, including potential treatments for cancer or heritable diseases. CRISPR has been embroiled in its own scientific controversy, with researchers claiming it might cause new mutations, but correcting that finding in a follow-up study noting that no such mutations were seen in mice experiments. The European court’s decision on CRISPR plants came in response to a lawsuit filed by FOE’s branch in France. “People want real food grown by real farmers,” says Perls. Yet here, the USDA has no plans to regulate gene edited plants or crops. Their stance is that if no genetic material is added to a plant, it deserves no special regulation, and they have called the European ruling unfortunate. Meanwhile, Impossible Burger is being served in several thousand restaurants around the U.S., and scientists like Katiraee approve: “I first tried it at a restaurant in Lansing, Michigan,” she says. “It was prepared with white cheddar and crispy onions. Had I not been told that it was a plant based burger, I would never have known.”

Intro to machine learning and AI

Machine learning is actually a subfield of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Machine learning is a particular approach to artificial intelligence. It is true that it is proving to be the most successful approach to AI

Artificial Intelligence: AI is a computer program that does something smart. It can be a pile of if-then statements or a complex statistical model. Usually, when a computer program designed by AI researchers actually succeeds at something — like winning at chess — many people say it’s “not really intelligent” because the algorithms internals are well understood. So you could say that true AI is whatever computers can’t do yet. 😉

Machine learning: ML, as others here have said, is a subset of AI. That is, all machine learning counts as AI, but not all AI counts as machine learning. For example, symbolic logic (rules engines, expert systems, and knowledge graphs), as well as evolutionary algorithms and Bayesian statistics, could all be described as AI, and none of them are machine learning.

This is the actual definition of AI and ML. So let’s have a look at the types of Machine Learning.

Types of machine learning:

  1. Supervised LearningHere the data is labeled or the system is given how to use data. In short information and mechanism behind is given.
  2. Unsupervised LearningHere the data is unlabelled or the system is not given how to use data. In short information and mechanism is created by the machines as per the pattern and logic.
  3. Reinforcement LearningHere the machine learns through a reward-based system. The goal is to reward the machine when it learns correctly and to penalize the machine when it learns incorrectly. Its a subset of AI.

This is all about the types of machine learning. So let’s have a look at the best programming languages for machine learning.

Programming Languages for Machine Learning:

Python Python is a scientific language. It’s a growing language in every aspect. It’s a powerful language and is in demand language. If you learn it, you will be in demand :P. 

JavaJava is an old language yet effective. To me whenever I ask questions such as which language to learn next, everyone would say either java or py. So basically java has robust libraries. So the top libraries are – weka, Deeplearning4j, MALLET, Elki, Massive Online Analysis(MOA) etc.

R R is a workhorse for statistical analysis and by extension machine learning. Much talk is given to the learning curve, I didn’t really see the problem. It is the platform to use to understand and explore your data using statistical methods and graphs. It has an enormous number of machine learning algorithms, and advanced implementations too written by the developers of the algorithm.

C family –  If you want optimized performance, then most probably C, C++ is the best language. Java doesn’t provide that good performance in comparison to C family. There are a lot of libraries implementing Support vector machine(SVM) or NN.

MATLAB / OCTAVEI think MATLAB is excellent for representing and working with matrices. As such, I think it’s an excellent language or platform to use when climbing into the linear algebra of a given method. I think it’s suited to learning about algorithms both superficially the first time around and deeply when you are trying to figure something out or go deep into the method. But it doesn’t have that boosted performance like that of R, Python. 

Recommendation: To learn Python, C family for machine learning. Rest is fine but … anyways, but Python and R are easy to learn. Also, Python and R are the most commonly used language. So my preference goes to ’em. 

Why machine learning matters?

AI is shaping our future more fastly than those of current innovations. It’s worth our future. All work is being automated. People are not in requirement of other people to drive cars, to talk etc etc. They are having their partners and those are AI’s. People are investing more time to learn and understand them than their family :P. But machines are too trying to understand humans as well. Nevertheless, they can never replace humans. Artificial intelligence will transform the relationship between people and technology, charging our creativity and skills. The future of AI promises a new era of disruption and productivity, where human ingenuity is enhanced by speed and precision. I while having a research on AI read a medium blog which actually gave me the reason why AI matters. And there was a conversation between AI and human. Have a look at it. This is the AI being created by Google Inc. It’s an assistive AI being trained by Google that could not only convincingly interact with humans as a tech support helpdesk, but also discuss morality, express opinions, and answer general facts-based questions … Have a look at the conversation. 🙂

It defeated one of the good players of chess. And it defeated the world’s top professionals in 1v1 matches of the online multiplayer game Dota 2. So in recent years several apps are introduced such as STOP!t. This app has been introduced because, we have seen apps for monitoring students inside the school. This may prove to be harmful. As well as raising awareness of bullying, it can also help to bridge communication between students and teachers around difficult topics.

So today we are going to learn how to search on google! Well, you all might be thinking that you know how to search on google. But my dear, most of you just know how to just type on Google search bar or you know how to use voice search on google. I have a complete list of about certain ways to use google search more efficiently. What does efficiency refer here? It just means to get the results you want! You all might be thinking how do I come to know about using google search. So listen to my story :P. Once upon a time, I searched on google a lot. Now also I research a lot. But earlier I just searched for contents, music, quotes, videos and for comparing food items in order to maintain my diet. I had to go to certain blogs and read all the blogs. And many a time they contain a big article of about 1500-2000 words. I felt annoyed and was fed up. So one day like you all I decided to look at ways to use google search efficiently. Then, I thought to write them so that I don’t forget it and don’t have to go through the blog again. So I wrote it. And after few days I got it memorized completely as I used it to the efficient way often. So this tutorial is for you if you want to learn the best 20 steps to use google search efficiently. Okay, now I guess you are getting bored and are eager to get to the main content 😛

Let’s get to the topic. And here’s the list of top 30 ways to google efficiently!

 

  1.  Use the tabs – While looking for the result format you wish you can navigate or switch to the tabs in which format you wish for! You can see in the below image that there is a list for 5 tabs. They are All, News, Images, Books, Videos, More. You can find more tabs in the more tab. This is almost known by all but starting with basics to advanced 🙂Google result tabs

2. Use quotations to search a phrase- So many a times you get a different results while searching for a quote and phrase going through all the blogs is literally bullshit. People who do’t want to spend uneccessary time, hate it. So here is the way you can add quotation before and after.

Example: “Good, better, best. Never let it rest. ‘Til your good is better and your better is best.”
So by this google gets the information that you are searching for a phrase.

3. Use asterisk if you forget words in phrase : Many a times often we forget words in the phrase. So what’s the solution for it? Here’s it. Let’s say you are searching for a phrase, then as per the above method you have to use quotation marks(“”) and the word which you forgot, you can place a asterisk mark(*). If you forget multiple words, then also you can place * in the phrase

Example : “Good, *, best. Never let it rest. ‘Til your good is better and your better is best.”

4. Use hyphen to exclude a word – In many a case you want a result but you don’t want the result that google gives. Yes it happens, many a times. You have two things of a similar name. Then what to do? If you want to cut one out, use the hyphen to tell the engine to ignore content with one of the other. See the example below.

So if you search it, you are gonna get results for inbound marketing but not related to advertising. So you got it.

5. this OR that – This works like the or operator in programming language. By default google includes all the search terms specified in it! So want to know which is better among the specified terms before and after “OR”.

6. Words in the Text – What if, you wanna show a site to someone, or what if you wanna again surf through the site. And suppose that you forgot the site URL, but could somehow remember the text keywords. No problem, you could search the site like intext:keywords goes here.

Example: intitle:affiliate marketing.

Note: if you could wanna search something and in contrast to it, you want a site of your provided text, then you can search like :

Example: Advertising intext:affiliate marketing

9.  Use a colon to use specific keywords –  There may be an instance where you need to Google search for articles or content on a certain website. The syntax is very simple and we’ll show you below. Let’s take an example of this site only!

Example – Arpeet Rathi site:technoprenure.com       

So this is gonna show all text or title available with Arpeet Rathi on the site technoprenure.com. So this is often when you want to specifically search about something on a site and the sites search function are not that cool.

10. Find a related site to any other – This command is awesome and I often use it. The function of the command is to display related sites to a site you mention. BTW what the command is? 😛 It’s related:the site url goes here.

Example – related:youtube.com

If you search it you are gonna get all the video-sharing and watching sites. So if I want to try and search different or related sites for variation in using a web-app. So I go by this command often.

11. Find a page that links to other – Many a times the pages redirect. It means many a times the links are uncertain. While opening them, they gets refereed to other which are allied to them. So to find those kinda link you can simply use the command “link”

Example – link:google.com

This will return all the links of google.com whether allied or subdomain or main domain

12. You can do math with google search – Many times in lack of time to just open calculator in phone and time. I find it better to save my time by just voice searching or doing math in google as its easy to open google. But in nowadays we don’t use calculator much and so we have to search for the calculator app. But we all know the location of google and if we don’t know, we can press and hold home button then, we can do maths with google.

First result would be 35 and the next would be 3.14…

13. Get word definitions – This command is often used if you want your result directly to be displayed in a box above the blog links then, just write define:the keyword goes here.

Example – define:internet

14.  Similar words and synonymsLet’s say you want to include a word in your search, but also want to include results that contain similar words or synonyms. To do this, use the ~ in front of the word.

Example – “affiliate marketing” ~revenue

15. News for a specific location – If you are looking for a news of a particular location then, you can do it with the location command location:the name of the place goes here. And then you can switch to News tab.

Example – location:India

16. Search files related to specified extensions – To do  this you have command of “filetype” . So suppose you want to search for html files for affiliate marketing, then look at the example.

Example – “affiliate marketing” filetype:html

17. Tip Calculator – Along with a normal calculator, Google has a built-in tip calculator. Just search tip calculator and you can adjust the bill, tip %, and number of people splitting it.

18. Use Timer – Don’t have a timer handy? Google has you covered. You want to use timer and stopwatch. You can reset it and then start stop. Just you have to search timer, and use stopwatch.

19. Sunrise and sunset time – You can look over sunrise and sunset time. By just searching  sunrise Ahemdabad.

20. Compare food with “vs” keyword  – As I told I maintained my diet plan. Don’t think for the no. of months. I was just able to do it for 15 days :P. So during that time I got this method of searching for different components available in food compared in our query.

NOTE: For all the formats, given in the example are the defined formats you have to follow, if a single character is missing, or not in the form mentioned above, then you are not going to get the desired results. Google is case sensitive for the commands which modify the results. So don’t even change case or remove or add extra.

It’s been almost 2 years since I started my career in tech.  I started with programming, web development, hacking and penetration testing. I successfully pwnd and defaced many sites. Then I started learning bug hunting and I am still learning. In the midst, I learned many black hat techniques from the dark and deep web. How did my blogging journey start?

Well at the age of 14 I convinced my parents for getting me a custom domain. Then they didn’t allow so. Thereafter I got into freelancing and content writing from where I learned and earned pity sum of money. Then once I got to meet a web hoster who offered me a free domain on convincing. I was at the first very happy but after that, I got completely into bug hunting as it took my attention and so I could not focus on blogging. Then I thought to do blogging as well as bug bounty hunting. But by the time I looked for my site and tried to get into the client area, it was hacked :(.
